Qena Water and Wastewater Company

Qena Water and Wastewater Company provides drinking water and sanitation to Qena Governorate in Upper Egypt, including Qena city, Qus, Nag Hammadi, and Armant. Many villages along the Nile are served by compact treatment stations that, after years of service, need complete renewal of their filters, piping, and structures.

In 2020 Metal Home for Industry carried out the complete rehabilitation and replacement of 25 compact water treatment stations in Qena, covering all civil, mechanical, and electrical works. Our scope included new pressurized sand filters, piping systems and containers, structural steel canopies over the equipment, and the associated electrical works. Separately, we supplied and installed water filter tanks for the arboreal forest irrigation systems in Qus and Armant on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Renewing 25 stations in a single programme required standardised filter designs, a disciplined fabrication schedule, and site teams working across the governorate. The Qena programme is our most extensive turnkey reference in the water sector and a model for compact-station rehabilitation elsewhere in Egypt.
