Suez Canal Governorates Water and Wastewater Company

The Suez Canal Governorates Water and Wastewater Company serves Ismailia, Suez, and Port Said, the three governorates along the Suez Canal. Its plants draw from the Ismailia Canal and other Nile-fed canals and treat surface water for cities and towns along the canal zone, an area that has grown rapidly with the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

In 2002 Metal Home for Industry supplied and installed the steel water-filter tanks, sedimentation basins, clarifiers, and pumps for the Fayed water treatment plant in Ismailia Governorate. The plant was inaugurated in the presence of the Governor of Ismailia. Our scope covered the fabrication of the carbon-steel vessels and internals, the connecting pipework and fittings, and the mechanical installation and commissioning on site.

Surface-water plants rely on a full treatment sequence, from sedimentation and clarification to pressure filtration, and this project demonstrated our ability to deliver the complete mechanical package for a municipal station. It remains a key reference for our water-sector work along the canal.
