Project overview
The National Company for General Contracting & Supplies is one of the companies of the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO), the economic arm of the Egyptian Armed Forces, which executes large national infrastructure, land reclamation, and development projects, including the programmes to develop the Western Desert oases of the New Valley.
In 2009 Metal Home for Industry supplied carbon-steel water-filter tanks and industrial oxidation towers for the New Valley development project. The equipment treats iron- and manganese-bearing groundwater from deep wells so it can be used for drinking and agriculture in the new communities. Vessels were epoxy-lined, pressure-tested, and shipped in sections for assembly in the desert.
Development of the oases depends entirely on making groundwater usable, and our filter-and-tower packages are the standard solution for that. Following the Mut plant in Dakhla, this project reinforced our position as a specialist in groundwater treatment vessels for Egypt's desert regions.
