Fuel storage tanks for the Hilton Sharm El-Sheikh hotel, fabricated by Metal Home for Industry in 1999 for Industrial & Engineering Enterprises Company.

Project overview

Industrial & Engineering Enterprises Company is an Egyptian mechanical and electrical contractor that executes MEP packages for hotels, resorts, and industrial facilities. In the late 1990s it was engaged on the Hilton hotel development in Sharm El-Sheikh during the rapid growth of the South Sinai tourism sector.

In 1999, in one of Metal Home for Industry's first projects, we fabricated the carbon-steel fuel storage tanks for the Hilton Sharm El-Sheikh, supplied to Industrial & Engineering Enterprises as part of the hotel's power-generation and boiler fuel system. The tanks were built, tested, and coated in Cairo and transported to Sinai for installation by the contractor.

Hotel fuel systems have to be safe, reliable, and discreet, and the tanks are expected to serve for the life of the building. Delivering this project in our founding year set the standard for the fuel-tank work that has since become one of our core product lines.
