Hilton Sharm El-Sheikh

Fuel storage tanks for the Hilton Sharm El-Sheikh hotel, fabricated by Metal Home for Industry in 1999 through Industrial & Engineering Enterprises Company.

Project overview

Hilton is one of the world's largest hospitality groups, and its Sharm El-Sheikh resorts on the Red Sea coast of South Sinai were among the anchor properties of the destination's development in the 1990s. Large resorts in Sinai operate their own generators, boilers, and back-up power systems and therefore need substantial on-site fuel storage.

In 1999 Metal Home for Industry fabricated the carbon-steel fuel storage tanks for the Hilton Sharm El-Sheikh, supplied through the MEP contractor Industrial & Engineering Enterprises Company. The tanks were built and tested in Cairo, coated for their installation conditions, and transported to Sinai, where they were installed as part of the hotel's energy infrastructure.

Hospitality clients require equipment that is safe, quiet, and hidden from guests, and that will last as long as the building. This founding-year project remains a reference for our fuel tanks in the hotel and resort sector.
