Egyptanode - Egyptian Carbon Anode Blocks Company

35 m³ fuel storage tanks fabricated by Metal Home for Industry for Egyptanode, the Egyptian Carbon Anode Blocks Company, in 2014.

Project overview

Egyptanode, the Egyptian Carbon Anode Blocks Company, operates a large plant in the Ain Sokhna industrial zone producing pre-baked carbon anodes for the aluminium smelting industry, supplying Egyptalum in Nag Hammadi and export markets. Anode baking is an energy-intensive process, and the plant relies on continuous fuel supply for its furnaces and utilities.

In 2014 Metal Home for Industry fabricated 35 m³ carbon-steel fuel storage tanks for the Egyptanode plant. The tanks were manufactured to the client's specification with the plate thickness, coating, and connections required for industrial diesel storage, tested in our factory, and delivered to Ain Sokhna for installation by the plant's contractor.

Heavy-industry clients expect tanks that integrate cleanly with their fuel-handling systems and pass their own inspection regimes. The Egyptanode order broadened our industrial references beyond the cement and petroleum sectors into metallurgy.
